Jenny Johnson - January 2007 Harbour Friends has had in enormous impact on my life. I moved permanently to Sovereign Harbour after a difficult time having been widowed, losing my Dad and then being made redundant……all in the space of 2 years! I can honestly say it was the best decision I ever made and that is all due to HF. I had seen details of HF in Waterlines, the SHRA newsletter and one phone call to Bev changed my life. Although nervous at the first meeting I was made extremely welcome and since then have met the most wonderful group of people and made some terrific friends. I cannot believe how busy I am…I have to take my diary around with me as there is always something new being planned. There are lots of different activities planned to suit all age groups and tastes. In the short space of time since joining, as well as the regular HF meetings, I have been on a Safari Supper, a trip to the Theatre, meals out, a fantastic Murder Mystery New Years Eves Party, social evenings, a walk, and my diary for January is filling up rapidly! Whatever your age or circumstances, if you want to make new friends and enjoy a great social life I can truly recommend HF. |
