Roger & Nada - November 2006 It's been wonderful experience joining the HF, when we first moved to Eastbourne in Dec2003 it was very difficult to get together with people and make friends and always travelled to Brighton to see our friends and socialise but since we joined HF our social life completely changed,when we met you for the first time at YC you were warm,friendly and made us feel very welcome and we made lots of friends in such a short time and some of them our very next door neighbours that we never knew they were there until we met at the YC. We specially recall a recent very busy social Halloween weekend where we went on Fri to a meal and then the theatre with some of HF which was brilliant then on Sat the great social adventure of the SAFARI DINNER which was fantastic in every way (can't wait for the next one) and enjoyed it so much,met lots of other friends then some of us went to the YC to see the band, dance and party the night away and at last but not least on Sun went for dinner with some of HF at Sid's and Alison's where Sid looked after us , prepared and cooked the 3 course meal which was delicious then joined the rest of you at the same night at YC . It's the best thing happened to us since we came to live in Eastbourne and all thanks to you. Thank you for such a great idea and very grateful for all your time and effort that you put in to make it work. |
