Harbour Friends social group for people living at Sovereign Harbour Eastbourne
Social Events
The following events are planned for the next few months. There may be more, so please keep an eye on your emails. We also welcome other ideas for the rest of the year, and/or people to help organise them!

There is a regular meet-up for Harbour Friends at the yacht club each Sunday evening (unless the club has a special event on), and the last Sunday of the month is also new members’ night - so you can keep in touch even if you have been away and missed some of the fun.

NB. Events marked with an asterisk (*) require pre-booking – please contact the organiser.
  • Wednesday 22 October - Harnish' Night at the Ganges. Thanks to Phil the successful nights at the Ganges will continue.  The cost of the evening will be £19.50 per head (including service) for a three course meal. Please contact Phil at philopower@hotmail.com by Monday 13th October for a place. Don't delay these evenings are always very popular and the maximum number of places is 40.
  • Sunday 9 November - Bingo. Two Fat Ladies? Gordon's Den? Sweet Sixteen and never.......! Come along, you never know you may get that elusive Full House.
  • Saturday 6 December - Dickensian Evening at Alfriston. This is a really fun night with all the village dressed up and the shops open. Street sellers and music in the streets make it a really special night. The roads are closed to all traffic and those of us that have been before go around 5 to half past. You park in Druisillas Car Park and then are taken by local bus to the outside of the village. Last bus out is usually 10pm but check. See you there.
  • Sunday 7 December - Not Quite Bingo! This is a really fun, different evening with Alison and not to be missed.
  • Saturday 19 December - Harbour Friends Christmas Dinner & Disco. At The Fishermans, Eastbourne. Travel there arranged for you at no extra cost and some wine on the tables. £16 per head for a wonderful 4 course dinner. TICKETS SELLING FAST SO PLEASE BUY SOON – always on sale on a Sunday Night meeting at the Yacht Club.
